Ingredients of Chana Dal Burfi

  1. Prepare 1 cup of chana dal (washed and soaked overnight).
  2. You need 1 cup of Mishri powder.
  3. It's 2 cup of milk.
  4. It's 1/2 cup of ghee (clarified butter).
  5. You need 1/2 inch of cinnamon stick.
  6. You need 2 of bay leaves.
  7. It's 1/4 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.

  1. In a pan add the overnight soaked chana dal bay leaves..
  2. Add milk and keep cooking in low medium flame until boiled..
  3. Now cool down a bit then make a paste of it in a blending jar..
  4. Heat ghee.
  5. Add the dal paste..
  6. Now keep cooking in low medium flame for 10 mins..
  7. Now add rock sugar powder and keep mixing until well combined or sugar is melted..
  8. After 5-7mins add cardamom powder again mix well. When the mixture becomes a dough switch off flame pour in a greased tray, spread with a spoon..
  9. When cooled down cut into desired shape..and enjoy!.
