Ingredients of Moong Dal Burfi

  1. You need 1 cup of Moong Dal.
  2. It's 1/2 cup of grated coconut.
  3. You need 1/2 cup of grated paneer.
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of sugar.
  5. It's 3 cups of water.
  6. Prepare 2 Tbsp of Maida.
  7. You need 3-4 Tbsp of ghee.

Moong Dal Burfi step by step

  1. In a bowl add water and sugar and bring it to boil to make the syrup. Keep stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is thin strand.
  2. In a non-stick pan roast the Moong Dal until a aroma is there. Set aside.
  3. Chop the paneer in small pieces and grate the coconut. Mix them together and put them in a blender to blend. Set aside.
  4. Boil the Moong Dal with 1 cup water and all water should be absorbed and Dal should be boiled.
  5. Mash the Dal and mix the Dal with grated coconut-paneer mix. Mix well..
  6. Add little maida as a binding agent.
  7. Make small balls and set aside..
  8. Now in a wok heat ghee and fry in batches. Dip in sugar syrup and set aside.
